Workshop Description:
This is an unique opportunity to acquire additional photographic skills with Carolyne Coleby and Tony Hadley who are very successful and experienced landscape and travel photographers.
Come to the beautiful island of Montserrat in the Caribbean for a week long workshop with expert photographers who can help you to develop a career as a photographer or to just improve your photographic skills and style. As part of the workshop, there will be a photo competition giving the winning photographer a chance to publish their photographs with the Montserrat Tourist Board, The Montserrat Reporter.
The focus will be about landscape and travel photography, with classes on camera use and various techniques. Carolyne will be doing a session on marketing as well as joint workshops with Tony on landscape and travel photography. There will be plenty of opportunities for practise out in the field! We plan to exhibit the work and there should be opportunities to publish photographs with local agencies in Montserrat.

Montserrat
Montserrat is known as the 'Emerald Isle' of the Caribbean, with its lush rainforests, beautiful mountains and silver grey beaches, crystal seas and of course, the famous Soufriere Hills Volcano. The volcano erupted in 1995, devastating the Southern part of the island and creating many unique vistas as well as covering the former Capital of Plymouth, which has been called a modern day Pompeii. There are fantastic photo opportunities that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Montserrat is also a haven for nature lovers and sunseekers alike. It is a safe and peaceful island as well as being extremely beautiful and unique in its diversity. The workshop provides a unique opportunity to explore the island while learning about photography and improving your existing skills with qualified professionals. While out photographing, there will be opportunities to:
- See unusual flora and fauna
- Get unparalleled views of the volcano
- Go hiking in the beautiful rainforest covered mountains
- Take a break for a swim in the beautiful tropical seas
- See local Caribbean life at its best and the friendliest people.
Workshops:
Intial Assessment, Basics and Composition: We will look at individual's pictures and help them identify styles, plus areas for improvement especially in composition. • Lenses, bring whichever lenses you have but there is no need to purchase any for the workshop.
• Laptop computer and digital camera (bring the manual).
